Reflection:
Standard 5 suggests evaluation and reflection for professional learning growth. Perspectives and attitudes should be considered among students when planning for professional growth. Surveys are encouraged to gain a climate expectancy of the students needs for learning. By increasing the technology needs of others, the concept of technology integration and student learning increases. Through reflection, both educators and students can enhance the learning of others, especially with twenty-first century online learning.
Artifacts - Reflection:
Software Tools Report - I worked with a collaborative group of four professionals to explore technology applications. Each member taught one tool to the group; this give all members experience with five same tools. As a group, we compiled our activity explanations and experiences as a report and linked it to our sites. The report serves as a professional guide for educators. The report and the applications may also be used in professional development, inspiring additional teachers to implement the applications in their classrooms. This project demonstrates Standard 5 since we engaged in professional meetings to grow as educators and to increase the knowledge in the technology / educational field.
Digital Communications in Education Blogfolio - This blogfolio is a collection of my research, reflections, and experiences with technology applications and online learning. As I read and work with technology implementation strategies, I record my thoughts and suggestions. This assignment also requires a group of students to read each other's blogfolios weekly. The group members discuss the blogs further through the owner's messaging section of her site. Professional collaboration and growth is established through this assignment that extends a semester. In addition, the professor provides literature to read and consider with the weekly postings. The blogfolio is an excellent example of Standard 5.
Technology Survey - The technology survey is an assignment to practice with Google Forms. The survey asks the student about his or her technology background. This is important when working with professionals and / or students to gain an idea of the skills present with technology. By assessing a person's assumed skill level, the facilitator may plan instruction more effectively. It gives a more accurate needs assessment for the professional development goal. Surveys are excellent at gathering corporate and educational information among staff members. Providing digital surveys records analytics that can easily be interpreted for professional growth. This project reflects Standard 5 as it relates to technology and professional decision making. Additionally, the forms may also be incorporated inside the workplace or classroom. This further meets the expectations of Standard 5. It incorporates technology to improve student learning based on feedback.
Fahrenheit 451 Podcast - Although this artifact is primarily focused on student learning with digital tools, it serves as a great tool for professional growth. Podcasts are excellent for sharing content about technology in education. Administrators and educators may link podcasts in professional learning memos and general content. Podcasts help to increase the online skills of the listener. Podcasts are excellent for training staff. Additionally, podcasts are excellent for student assignments and lectures. This assignment demonstrates Standard 5 well for professional growth and leadership.

Future Learning Goals: Learning new twenty-first century technology skills has been an exciting journey. I look forward to researching and exploring more applications for effective technology integration in my classroom. I also would like to assist educators with the skills that I have obtained through the Masters of Instructional Technology program. It is important that educators share skills and experiences to further student learning growth. Additionally, I would like to create online courses and provide digital content that accompanies them. Ultimately, my goal is to educate students worldwide through online devices to maximize educational growth.
